Magna Station to open 9 April 

The contractor, formerly known as Henry Boot Construction, has issued an update to clarify its standalone performance after last week’s publication of group results by its former parent company. 

The Pride in Place programme will deliver regeneration efforts across the two areas of East Yorkshire, with each receiving up to £19.6m. 

STACK Leisure has applied to build a two-storey repurposed shipping container structure at the historic venue in Leeds, with space for six bars, eight street food outlets, a coffee shop, a stage for live entertainment, and giant screens. 

Due to launch in the next few weeks, the Growth and Housing Accelerator Fund will provide local authorities with cash to build the transport infrastructure required to deliver previously unviable housing and commercial projects.

The developer has taken a step forward in the delivery of its 35,000 sq ft Commercial House site in Sheffield after successfully drawing down development funding from West One Loans.

Wells will be focusing on the company’s North Yorkshire business, including the redevelopment of the former Brunswick Centre in Scarborough. 

As the town continues to bask in its Tech Town status, the 50,000 sq ft urban park and public realm that will underpin its digital ambitions has officially opened. 

Place Yorkshire is returning to Hull on 14 May with confirmed speakers so far including Cllr Anne Handley, leader of East Yorkshire, Hull City Council’s Paul Drake-Davis, and experts from Associated British Ports, Muse, and Humber Freeport, among others.

Fashion brand AS Colour and jewellery retailer Lisa Angel have both chosen the shopping destination for their inaugural Yorkshire stores.
