Leeds office market posts strong Q2 recovery

A pedestrian, cycle, and bridleway over the Hull to Scarborough railway line in the East Yorkshire town is intended to improve connectivity and support the delivery of thousands of new homes.

The Combined Authority will debate the use of CPOs to acquire land and property needed for its transport programme after negotiations with landowners failed to secure all the required sites.

The proposed scheme, submitted by the housebuilder for an 11-acre greenfield site off Chapel Hill, would deliver a mix of market and affordable housing, with 52 homes – equivalent to 40% of the development – earmarked as affordable.

With a GDV of £37.6m, the property group has acquired the former Direct Line headquarters in the city centre, with plans to refurbish the building and bring vacant office space back into use.
