Wilton picks Formm for 10 South Parade ground floor revamp
The contractor will deliver a business lounge, coffee shop and 65-desk business centre at the Leeds office building, with designs by Jon Matthews Architects.
Leeds based Wilton Developments manages the building on behalf of owner East Parade and has now appointed Formm, the Sheffield-based interiors specialist.
The business centre divided into 10 self-contained offices. The space will also provide meeting rooms for hire, and the ability to open up part of the centre for events.
Work will complete early next year.
The centre will be managed directly by Wilton under its new humanSpaces brand, building upon all-inclusive office offers which are now fully let at 2 Bond Court.
Hannah Ingrey has been appointed as the new community & operations manager for the building, joining from Spacemade at Park House where she was community manager.
Wilton has plans to roll out the humanSpaces offer to its wider Leeds portfolio.
Jason Stowe, managing director at Wilton Developments, said: “Following our two recent lettings to IDHL and Thomson Solicitors, the upper floors of 10SP are once again fully occupied. The time is therefore right to implement long held plans for the reconfiguration of our ground floor at 10SP.
“This scheme will provide new, contemporary facilities for our existing tenants, providing collaboration opportunities through the business lounge and business centre.”
IDHL doubled its presence at the building in September, committing to a full 9,600 sq ft floor.
Stowe revealed that the coffee shop, to be also open to the public, will be operated by Bean Coffee, a brand he said “we are particularly excited about introducing to Leeds city centre”.
Ingrey said: “We are creating a truly exceptional offer here at 10SP. The attention to detail and quality of materials will stand apart in the Leeds market.
“I’m particularly impressed with the desire to incorporate recycled and recyclable materials where feasible into every aspect of the design. I am looking forward to launching the space early in the new year, alongside our new community card offer open to all Wilton tenants in the city.”
Agent Pudney Shuttleworth secured the deal with Bean. The firm’s Miriam Hughes described the occupier as “a fantastic independent operator expanding from its established base in Liverpool and the North West”.
Clair McGowan of CBRE added that the investment is not only improving the building for existing tenants but will attract new customers to the business centre. She said: “The demand for “all inclusive” space has increased in the past 12 months and Wilton, under the new humanSpaces brand, is well equipped to meet this need.”
