Vistry to deliver 200 homes in Doncaster
The homebuilder has exchanged contracts on the 16-acre site on Waggons Way, previously part of the Hatfield colliery.
Plans to build 236 homes will be submitted to Doncaster Council by the end of this year, with the hope that construction can start by the end of 2025.
Rob Spittles, managing director of Vistry East Yorkshire, said: “We’re committed to making home ownership accessible and our mixed tenure offering will suit people in a range of circumstances.
“We look forward to progressing our plans in the months ahead and delivering a new community of high-quality homes over the next few years.”
Alistair Mcloughlin, joint managing director of Waystone, the property firm Vistry bought the site from, said: “We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Vistry to deliver a substantial brownfield residential development and bring forward the next phase of Unity Energy site.”
Part of the wider 618-acre Unity masterplan, the entire area encompasses 3,000 homes, a new town centre, a marina, school and transport hub, all around the former Hatfield colliery.
