TCS beefs up asset management team

Town Centre Securities has appointed Matthew Wright, formerly Bruntwood’s head of commercial for Leeds and Birmingham, as associate director, estates.

TCS, the developer, car park operator and hotel firm, said that Wright will reposition and implement asset management strategies for existing schemes, as well as support on bringing new developments forward.

Wright’s move represents a reunion with Craig Burrow, TCS’s group property director who until 2020 was director of Bruntwood’s Leeds operation.

Up to March this year, Wright had spent nearly nine years with Bruntwood, having joined from Carter Towler and worked his way up to head of commercial.

Highlights of his time with the Manchester-headquartered group include the leasing of Platform and West Village, as well as regularly achieving high levels of occupancy on other investment portfolios in Leeds.

Working within TCS’s established estates team, Wright will manage existing assets and provide support on pipeline projects such as the recently consented Whitehall Riverside.

Burrow said: “Having worked with Matthew previously, I am delighted to welcome him to our expanding asset management team.  He brings a wealth of expertise and experience that are sure to benefit our portfolio and I am confident his skills will complement our strategic plan in growing our development pipeline across both Leeds and Manchester.”

Wright added “TCS have a diverse property portfolio and I am excited to join the team and commence adding value to these assets as well as create new opportunities.

“Taking up this position gives me the opportunity to work on schemes in cities I am familiar with, and I look forward to getting to know our tenants and building strong relationships over the coming months.”

Also joining TCS are Harry Williams, who has joined as graduate asset manager working on the Merrion Centre estate, and Thomas Haigh, who will support head of marketing James Broughton.
