South Leeds retail park set for autumn opening
Drone images released by developers Rothstone Estates and Marshalls CDP highlight Triton Construction’s progress on the 65,000 sq ft St Georges centre in Middleton.
The partners are advised by Savills. Construction work is expected to reach completion in July, with opening a few months later.
Formerly owned by Tesco, the Benyon centre site is a brownfield development. Aldi will anchor the scheme with a 21,000 sq ft store, with B&M also signed up.
There will be six further units. Greggs, Costa and McDonalds are also in line to operate stores, it is believed.
Ian Hare, director, out of town retail, Savills Leeds, said: “St Georges Retail Park is a new development and upon completion, the scheme will provide new quality units, and a diverse mix of retailers in a prime location.
“With two units already let to Aldi and B&M, and another four under offer, we are expecting a high level of interest for the remaining space.”
