RWO relocates Leeds office

Moving from Park Place, the civil and structural engineer has taken space at Mabgate Mills as it seeks further growth in the region.

RWO said the move increases current capacity to ensure future operational requirements are met and quality standards remain high.

This follows four years of expansion for the firm, which is headquartered in Seaton Burn, north of Newcastle.

Mabgate Mills is a former textile mill on the north-eastern fringe of Leeds city centre, now housing business space available through agents North Point and Carter Towler.

MTD Coln Industrial bought the 55,000 sq ft mill complex in 2016 and redeveloped the space.

With a forecasted turnover of more than £2.8m in FY24, RWO has seen substantial growth on the back of an increased workload from both regional private and public sector clients, who have continued to invest in bringing forward schemes and maintain an optimistic outlook for the engineering sector.

RWO managing director Ross Oakley said additional technician and senior engineer roles will be created as investment to strengthen the existing team continues and workloads increase.

He added: “We are busier than ever, winning major new projects as well as growing the scope of work undertaken for current clients. We are very much a business on the rise, investing in a new office to increase our footprint, accommodate future growth and provide the best possible environment to enable the team to thrive and deliver excellent service.

“The move signals the next exciting chapter for our operations, laying firm foundations as we go from strength-to-strength with the capacity to deliver sustainable growth. We look forward to continuing to diversify our service offering and client base, while developing a strong presence in Leeds and beyond.”

RWO, which also has a base in Stokesley, specialises in a range of work including flood risk assessments, residential, commercial, industrial and leisure structural engineering. civil engineering services cover road design, drainage, external works and SuDS urban drainage.
