Revamp pays off at Sheffield industrial estate

Following on from refurbishment works at Tinsley Industrial Estate, Galaxy Insulation & Dry Lining has agreed a deal on a 6,000 sq ft unit.

Paloma Capital, acting on behalf of estate owner the Dove Real Estate Fund, has undertaken refurbishment works on units across the site since Dove purchased the estate in 2017.

The 463,000 sq ft industrial estate lettings are managed by Knight Frank and Yoke Real Estate.

Kitty Hendrick, surveyor at Knight Frank, said: “This is one of Sheffield’s most established industrial estates and its immediate letting following the refurbishment shows the ongoing upgrading of industrial accommodation in a prime locations brings continued success.”

Jonathan Hodgson, director at Yoke Real Estate, added: “Tinsley Industrial Estate is a beacon of success in Sheffield. The void rate has been sub 10 per cent since the current owner acquired it and it’s been fully let for the vast majority of this time. It proves that if you provide good refurbished space, engage properly with occupiers, and take a proactive approach, businesses will commit.”
