Preferred Homes nears completion on debut scheme

The £15m Hunslet Moor House in Beeston, Leeds is designed for the over-55s and comprises 51 one-bedroom and 12 two-bedroom apartments.

The project team consists of architect Langtry Langton, Quantem Project Management, and contractor Triton Construction.

Pinnacle will act as property manager and Westward Care is the care provider on the scheme, which will offer residents access to 24-hour care, as and when it is needed.

All the apartments are to be let as affordable housing and the site includes community space for social activities, a café, and a local newsagents.

The project was supported by an Affordable Homes Programme grant from Homes England, and the housing allocation will be managed in partnership with Leeds City Council and its commissioning team.
