Plans in for 80-home Wakefield development

Avant Homes has exchanged contracts on a 5.6-acre site in its home town, with the intention of building a £20m estate in Lofthouse Gate.

The development will be called Lingwell Gate and is located on the eponymous Lingwell Gate Lane.

Made up of one- to four-bedroom homes, the housebuilder will use 15 of its house types throughout the scheme.

If approved, work would start in August with the first houses complete by the following spring.

“Our proposed development features a mix of practically designed, energy efficient house types that will appeal to a range of buyers, including first time buyers, second steppers, families, and downsizers. We now look forward to Wakefield Council considering our plans.”
