Next step for Leeds Spinning Acres
Pickard Properties has appointed C & A.J Marshall Builders as construction partner for the regeneration of Moor Grange, a historic Victorian villa.
Part of its £40m Spinning Acres development on the former Leeds University estate in Far Headingley, the refurbished villa will be turned into eight apartments.
The wider Spinning Acres development offers a range of townhouses, apartments, and detached homes within the Leeds suburb.
The villa dates back to the 1800s and the renovation will retain its original architecture and restore some key features, such as replacing the villa’s windows with heritage timber frames and ultra-thin double glazing.
Simon Pickard, director of Pickard Properties, said: “This building is a key part of the area’s heritage, and we are committed to preserving its historic features while creating beautiful, modern apartments.”
