Kaplan on the move to Leeds’ Broad Gate

The financial education group has signed for 8,448 sq ft in a relocation from Albion Street.

Kaplan has signed a 10-year lease, with a five-year break. Knight Frank represented the landlord Revcap, which bought the building from Northwood Investors in April 2021 for around £85m.

Gerald Eve acted for Kaplan in its move from City Exchange.

The deal follows Verrus Recruitment doubling its space at Broad Gate, committing to 5,250 sq ft at the building.

Other tenants at Broad Gate include the Yorkshire Building Society, Colliers, KPMG, Hays Recruitment and Lifesearch.

Victoria Harris, office agency specialist at Knight Frank, said: “Taken together, these two deals are resounding endorsement of one of Leeds’ most impressive mixed-use buildings.

“The excellent location, overlooking The Headrow, creates a business destination with all the benefits of the city centre on its doorstep.”

Broad Gate offers floorplates of 40,000 sq ft in a redevelopment of the former home of Lewis’s department store, with the building offering four large retail units in addition to office space.
