Integritas cues up second Bradford phase
The developer said that work will start this summer on the second part of its Bijou student accommodation project in Bradford.
Following the completion of phase one, Integritas’ second phase, consented in February, will include 54 student pods and four accessible studio apartments.
The project involves the addition of three further floors of accommodation at Integritas’ redevelopment of Charles Morris Hall in the Laisteridge Student Village.
Snow Architects is working with the developer on the plans. The professional team also includes Greyside Planning, transport advisor Eddisons and Thetis Engineering,
Integritas founder and managing director Mitchell Walsh said, “Bradford is the tenth largest city economy in England, worth an estimated £11.6bn, so it’s a great area to concentrate on regenerating. It’s a well connected city with direct rail access to London and has been awarded the UK City of Culture for 2025.”
Bijou’s second phase, billed as Optima, will offer students access to shared kitchens, a laundry room and direct access to a large open-plan living space for student socialising.
Construction is expected to start this summer with completion in summer 2024. Integritas’ intention is to sell each unit to investors on 999-year leases.
In April, the developer announced plans for a 62-apartment scheme in Liverpool, also designed by Snow. It is already on-site with the fourth phase of the £41.5m Bastion scheme in the same Pumpfields neighbourhood.
