Green light for 450 homes in Hull

Beal Homes will build the £120m development on a 52-acre site in the Kingswood area.

Hull City Council gave the developer the go-ahead for the hybrid planning application, which included full permission for the first 214 homes and associated works, as well as outline plans for a further 236 homes.

The first 214 homes comprises two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, including terraced, semi-detached, and detached homes.

As part of the plan, the embankment on the nearby River Hull will be raised, a riverside footpath and cycleway will be created, and improved drainage measures will be installed.

The new footpath will run alongside the site boundary, and a park with more than 800 trees will be created.

Beal has been building in Kingswood for almost 30 years and has delivered more than 1,200 homes.

Beal land director Chris Murphy said: “We have worked very closely with the local authority and statutory bodies to develop and refine these plans, which will bring much-needed new homes to the area and offer wider benefits to the local community.”
