- BRONWEN RAPLEY, ONWARD HOMES | Bronwen is the chief executive of Onward Homes. Onward seeks to make a difference by enabling people to be their best, in a home they love and a place they are proud of. - IMMY SYKES, PEOPLE POWERED RETROFIT |Immy is an accomplished operations lead at People Powered Retrofit, specialising in operations development, human resources, and process improvement. With a background in investment banking and a passion for environmental sustainability stemming from her MSc in environmental sustainability, Immy transitioned into the retrofit sector in January 2022.
- FRANCES HAMPSON, DELOITTE | Frances is passionate about retrofit and sustainable re-use of buildings in order to secure their long term future and help address the climate crisis. Frances advises on a number of high profile retrofit projects within Manchester with a focus on listed buildings, including the former Debenhams building and Pall Mall Court and also at a national level through the new Historic England guidance.
- KANE GREENOUGH, MORGAN SINDALL CONSTRUCTION | Kane joined the company in 2016 & is a leading figure in the field of supply chain sustainability, undertaking this critical role for Morgan Sindall’s North West region. By collaborating closely with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders, Kane ensures that sustainability considerations are seamlessly integrated into the company’s operations.
- JOE CROLLA, GREATER MANCHESTER COMBINED AUTHORITY | As a part of the education, work, and skills directorate, Joe’s role covers engagement with key employers, sector bodies, and organisations across the city region, with the aim of building the evidence base and insights that GMCA has access to for devolved policy.
- CONAL SPELLACY, WALKER SIME | Conal has delivered sustainable and carbon reduction retrofit schemes for local authorities across a number of buildings. Involved in the wider project aspects including funding communication and reporting, design and stakeholder management, Conal has had a broad involvement in the project management and day-to-day delivery of retrofit, carbon reduction schemes.
- FIONA LOMAS-HOLT, TURLEY | Fiona is a director of sustainability & ESG at Turley, based in the Manchester office. Fiona has 10 years’ experience in sustainability in the built environment, with particular expertise in embodied carbon and building certification.
- WILL LEWIS, OBI | As one of the most active office consultants within the North of England, Will has a wealth of experience advising major national/ international property companies and financial institutions on major refurbishments and new office development projects. Will has worked with a significant number of large occupier clients in advising on relocations, pre-lets and lease re-gears across the UK.
- PAUL NELSON, BUTTRESS | Paul is a senior architect within Buttress’ residential team, with a passion for the application of sustainable design principles within residential and retrofit design. He has been involved in a number of high-profile sustainable projects, including the recently completed restoration of the Ancoats Dispensary into affordable housing and the development of Greenhaus, the largest Passivhaus affordable housing scheme in the North West.
- IAN SCOTT, LIVINGWAY | Livingway is a residential investor and operator
in the UK build to rent market. Ian is a chartered investment surveyor and is a real estate investment
and development expert. He has been involved with over £750m of transactions in the build-to-rent
sector and primarily focuses on regeneration and conversions.
