Compliance 365 strikes Wakefield deal
Representing owner-occupier Nationwide, Lambert Smith Hampton has completed the sub-letting of 5,160 sq ft at 3 Paragon to the energy consultancy.
Owner-occupier Nationwide retains offices on other floors within the building, with LSH securing the lease on a five-year term for the refurbished space on behalf of the building society.
LSH said that the ground floor space features an open-plan layout with abundant natural light and glazed meeting rooms. The upgrade, overseen by Nationwide, includes air conditioning, raised access floors, and secure 24-hour access.
The site is around 1m from Wakefield city centre, close to Junction 41 of the M1 with retail amenities close by.
Like many large-scale occupiers of office space, Nationwide launched a plan to trim its footprint in the wake of the Covid lockdowns, saying in 2021 that it would not extend leases on three of its office holdings in hometown Swindon as flexible working was adopted across the mutual’s 13,000-strong workforce.
Nationwide announced a refurbishment of its Paragon Business Village estate in January 2022, with hybrid working in mind.
Matt Procter, senior surveyor at LSH, said: “This letting not only underscores the high quality of its refurbished office space, but also reflects the growing confidence in the Wakefield market.
“With its modern amenities and prime location, 3 Paragon is well suited to meet the needs of forward-thinking businesses like Compliance 365.”
A further 5,000 sq ft office suite is available at the site, LSH said.
Malcolm Wallis, managing director of Compliance 365, said: “We are thrilled to establish our headquarters at 3 Paragon. The facilities and secure, strategic location provide the perfect environment to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients while supporting our ambitious growth plans.”
