And finally… dropping in

Caddick Group has raised £17,500 for the Leeds Rhinos Foundation after staff across the business abseiled 45m down the face of the Moda block at New York Square, Soyo.

The fundraising event was the second annual abseil by Caddick after the team raised £20,000 in 2023 for Motor Neurone Disease Association in support of Rhinos legend Rob Burrow.

Caddick also donated places at the event to Candlelighters Trust and Children’s Heart Surgery Fund, who raised vital funds for their respective charities.

This year’s event took place on 7 September and saw 18 volunteers from across Caddick descend Moda Living’s award-winning 17-storey landmark residential development at SOYO, Leeds.

Included in the abseil team were Caddick’s most recent senior appointments, regional construction managing directors for North East and Yorkshire, Midlands and the North West, Steve Ford, Ray O’Sullivan and Dave Saville respectively – welcome to the firm, guys!

Kairen Brown, head of CSR at Caddick, commented: We’ve been very excited to replicate last year’s success and show our support for Leeds Rhinos Foundation, a charity in which delivers projects in the heart of the local community, by harnessing the power of sport to make a lasting, positive impact on individuals’ lives. Well done to everyone involved.”

Bob Bowman, chief executive of the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, added: “Here at the Foundation, we are immensely grateful for the long-standing support we have received from Caddick over the years.

“Caddick demonstrates an admirable commitment to using their resources to help the Leeds Rhinos Foundation expand. Their support enables us to provide many more opportunities for individuals to reach their full potential.”
