Hotel Indigo opening pushed back to summer
The 107-bedroom establishment on Lower Briggate in Leeds was due to open in spring, following a renovation by Clegg Construction.
The 45,000 sq ft hotel, previously the Cosmopolitan Hotel, will also house The Banksia, a Mediterranean bar and restaurant, two meeting rooms, and a 24/7 gym.
One of the oldest hotels in Leeds, the building was purchased by Belfont Hotels in 2020.
Following the reopening, the property will be managed by Countrywide hotels.
Keval Thakerar, director of Belfont Hotels, said: “Leeds is such a thriving city, and we can’t wait to become a part of it – we’re excited to throw open the doors and welcome our first guests to the brand-new site.
“Every Hotel Indigo is different, and this applies to our Leeds site, as we capture the essence of the city’s neighbourhood through unique touches.”
